WINTER SPORTS AWARDS When: March 14th 2023 at 5:30pm Where: Huntington School Cafeteria Drinks and some desserts will be available if you would like to bring a goody to share please feel free!! Come support our Basketball teams one last time!!!

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Next Monday March 6th, 2023 will be a half day for all students. Elementary will be released at 12:00pm Middle/High School will be released at 12:15pm If your student is riding the bus it will depart from the school approximately at 12:30pm

Last weekend we hosted our Annual Middle School Tournament, crazy to think it's been on for 59 years!!! We want to thank all the teams for participating and making this another great year for middle school sports. Boys first place went to the Prairie City Panthers. Girls first place went to the Harper Hornets. Sportsmanship was awarded to the Prairie City Panthers. A BIG congratulations to our All Star winners. Shout out to our Huntington Panther winners Kirra Lofton 8th grade David Denton 8th grade We can't wait to see you all next year for our big 60th year!!!!

Reminder NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!! Due to the tournament we always take the Monday after off so our students and staff members are able to rest.

It's that time of the year!!! We are excited to see all of the teams and fans come out and support our 59th Annual Middle School Tournament this weekend February 24th and 25th. Our Huntington Panthers take on the Four River Falcons at 8am on February 24th 2023 Gates: $6.00 for adults $3.00 for Seniors/Students **passes of any kind are not accepted We will have full concessions with pizza being sold each day 11:00am to 1:00pm We ask that all all players and spectators act appropriately towards other players/spectators and our officials.

It has come to our attention that there are a lot of rumors and misinformation being spread regarding the reasons for cancelling elementary classes on Monday, February 6 th . Yes, there was an issue with roaches in isolated areas of the elementary side of the school. The district brought in a professional exterminator to address this problem. During the application process it was required to remove items from classroom and hallway storage areas in different places throughout the elementary. We were instructed to leave these items out of storage until Monday morning. This resulted in a large number of items in classrooms and hallways. The decision was made to cancel classes in an effort to provide staff time to clean, organize storage areas and clear classrooms. The district has contracted with a professional pest control company to continue addressing the current issue and to provide ongoing, interior and exterior, pest and rodent control. PANTHER NEWS: Due to officials we are having to change the time for the game on Thursday February 9th, 2023 against the Four Rivers Falcons. New Time: Girls start at 3:00pm Boys start at 4:00pm **please let it be noted that the boys game may start sooner or later depending on how the long the girls game takes. Can't wait to see everyone here to support our Middle School Panthers!!

ATTENTION ELEMENTARY STUDENTS AND PARENTS: Due to unforeseen circumstances we are having a maintenance work day in the elementary side on Monday February 6th, 2023. There will be NO school for ALL ELEMENTARY students BUT there is still school for Middle and High School. If you have any questions please call the school at 541-869-2204.

PANTHER NEWS: Unfortunately due to numbers we have had to reschedule the Middle School game this afternoon. NEW DATE: Feb 21st at 3:00pm in Willowcreek

Tylie Garfield our lonely Senior Lady Loco lead her time to victory last Friday against the Harper Hornets. Final Score: 47-10 Tylie Garfield #10 scored 12 points Saturday our Lady Locos took on the Four Rivers Falcons coming out with another victory in overtime! Final Score: 28-25 Tylie Garfield #10 scored 10 points Good game ladies we are so proud of you all!!!

Senior Night for our boys was AMAZING!! They played their hearts out and came out with a victory over the Harper Hornets. Final Score: 49 to 48 Tyler Rea #2 scored 25 points Saturday our teams traveled to Four Rivers and took on the Falcons. Our boys found another victory with the final score being 64-62. Tyler Rea #2 scored 35 points Artem scored 4 points for both JV games that were played. They all played AMAZINGLY and we are so proud of how much heart they play with!!
